HISTORY
Founded in 1982, Digital Telecommunications Corporation
(DTC) began as a local entrepreneurial
telecommunications company selling key systems and
peripheral equipment to the SMB market. In 1986, DTC
became an NEC Associate, selling the NEC line
exclusively. As NEC migrated from basic key and PBX
systems to sophisticated key, hybrid PBX, PBX, and VoIP
solutions, DTC met with great success in mirroring that
migration path within their existing customer base while
acquiring new clients in both the SMB and enterprise
markets.
Continually seeking to provide best value and superior
support to their customers, DTC assumed the role of
systems integrator – marketing voice, data, and
infrastructure solutions. In 2006, NEC selected
DTC as a Vertical Market Specialization Program (VMSP)
Associate in the healthcare and higher education
markets, proof of their strength in the California
market. In early 2007, DTC hired Mr. Robert S.
Bliss to assume the role of President, leveraging his
vast experience as a former NEC executive. Mr.
Bliss' expertise in the areas of company management and
expansion strategy, as well as his high level
relationships within the NEC organization in both the
United States and Japan are invaluable to DTC's future
growth as an organization.
That same year, DTC celebrated their 25th anniversary,
and was named a Double Diamond Associate by NEC.
Although DTC has its roots in the Los Angeles and
Southern California area, it has begun to expand in a
responsible and sustainable manner. Early 2007 saw
expansion into the Central California area and the
addition of a Sr. Vice President of Operations position,
which has been filled by Ronald L. Buzbee. Most
recently, DTC announced presence in the Pacific
Northwest region, opening an office in Seattle and
Portland, solidifying DTC's status as a true West Coast
regional organization.
One of the most valued DTC assets is its employees. 90%
of the employees have worked in the industry for over 10
years, and three-quarters of them have worked for DTC
for over 10 years. The longevity with the company and
the resulting stability, coupled with DTC’s emphasis on
continued training, has resulted in a workforce which is
extremely knowledgeable about the industry, DTC
customers, and new technology. Most importantly, DTC
employees share a commitment to customer satisfaction
and unparalleled delivery of services. |
